MISSION
The Institute for the Development and Preservation of Culture and Self-Sufficiency (“IDPCS)” was founded to provide a wide range of culture-related services on a world-wide basis. From developing Saturday school literacy programs, retrieving stolen cultural artifacts or artworks through legal proceedings, to building water wells in Africa and focusing on education opportunities in the developing world, the IDPCS's mission is intertwined with the values of justice, sustainable development, and self-sufficiency.

The founders of the IDPCS included the concept of self-sufficiency as part of its name and mission, because the idea of building and preserving culture and reminding people of the needs of everyone to lead more self-sufficient lives go hand-in-hand. In fact, “sustainable development”, by one definition, is considered to be a development that meets the needs of present generations without compromising the abilities of future generations to meet their own needs. In this context, sustainable development includes not only environmental, but also economic, social, and cultural aspects.
The IDPCS domestic and global mission is to establish stable, vibrant, and healthy communities.
